It’s the things that no one tells you about though. That’s the good stuff. The sense of being part of a team that, for anyone who played team sports and stopped, was lost. The mental health benefits of having an hour each day when I don’t/can’t think about anything or anyone other than the next rep. In a chaotic world with family, kids, work, responsibility and people constantly vying for your time, effort and attention, just having something that’s solely for me.

Having a few beers or glasses of wine because I thought I needed them to ‘unwind. Now I’m training every morning with friends new and old who are all here for the same reason.
I'm sleeping better, wobbling less, making better decisions on a daily basis and not just my food choices but in all ares of my life. I feel like I'm firing on all cylinders which means now I have so much more energy to spend quality time with my kids.

I joined Man On Fire in January for the usual “new year new you” which usually lasts a couple of weeks into Jan. I figured it’d be a kick start for a month, see some of the lads I used to play rugby with, then I’d start at a gym after a month. But, the MOF experience is one that a gym membership just can’t compare with.
6 months later and 2 stone lighter and inches thinner I can honestly say the weight loss is a definite second to the physical and mental improvement. Motivation to gym 5 times a week is still high. I feel better than I ever expected to.

I was on a downward spiral - gaining weight through bad diet and too much alcohol, poor sleep, and I was in a cycle of not being able to get on top of my health. I was nervous as I'd never done classes/gym work with others before.
I didn't have to worry. Paul is engaging and supportive. He takes a keen interest in you as an individual as well as supporting and encouraging the group as a collective.
Not only have I lost weight but I have also gained muscle mass. More importantly I have a better structure, I sleep better, make better choices and I feel physically/mentally stronger.
I could not recommend Paul and MOF enough!

I signed up for a month thinking it would be a good detox/reset and I could find my own way from there. However, after a month of training with Paul and I signed up for another 6 months.
Feeling better everyday for getting out of bed and starting the day well, pushing myself physically and mentally. As well as being challenged/encouraged in equal measure from Paul. This is what sets it apart, we come in as individuals and train as an individual but it feels like a team environment.
